If you'd like to see the non-narrative version of Jennifer Lynch's background, please refer to her resume.

Jennifer Lynch began her communications career at SEI Investments, an investment-services firm based outside Philadelphia. Working in the Office of the Chairman, she wrote and edited contributions to the employee newsletter, researched and wrote copy for the narrative section of the annual report, taught a business-writing course, and prepared speeches for senior executives. After three years in corporate communications, Jennifer moved to SEI’s Retirement Services Group as marketing director for the sales team.

In addition to writing and supervising the design of marketing literature for the sales unit, Jennifer created employee communication materials for SEI’s 401(k) plan sponsor clients, conducted retirement planning seminars, and served as a liaison between the sales group and the industry press. In 1995 she left SEI — and Philadelphia — to join Towers Perrin’s communications practice in San Francisco.

As an associate at Towers Perrin, an international consulting firm, Jennifer focused primarily on developing employee-benefit communication materials for a diverse West Coast client base. Projects included writing newsletters, brochures, and summary plan descriptions; training clients’ human resources staff to administer benefit plans; and determining the effectiveness of benefit programs through focus groups and surveys.

Jennifer accepted a position at Merrill Lynch in 1997. As a communications consultant in the Education and Communications Department, she helped clients develop retirement-communications strategies, then created customized products to educate employees on the basics of planning, saving, and investing for retirement. She also helped plan sponsors appreciate the importance of communication in improving plan participation, contribution rates, and asset allocation.

Throughout her career Jennifer has had the opportunity to work with clients of all sizes representing a variety of industries: manufacturing, consulting, entertainment, retail, healthcare, and telecommunications, to name just a few. Her clients have included:

Aon Consulting,
California State Automobile Association,
Century Telephone,
DFS Group Limited,
Gambro Healthcare Patient Services,
Northrop Grumman,
Quantum Corporation,
Sony Pictures Entertainment,
Wells Fargo Bank, and
Williamson Communications.
